The techniques used to harvest donor hair have changed over the years. Some of the transplants done using old suture methods may have left you or someone you know with a large unsightly scar in the back of the head. A scar can be small or relatively large depending on how it came to be. You may also have a scar, a burn or a birth defect that had nothing to do with a bad hair transplant.
Scarring may also be caused because the patient did not follow the doctor’s instructions while healing by exercising too soon or putting unusual stress on the suture area. In some cases the patient may simply be a poor healer due to genetics or disease such as diabetes.
In some cases, an inept surgeon who performed the suture technique improperly may cause an unsightly linear scar as well.

Effective Scar Repair Methods
Sante’s doctors have a variety of methods for repairing unsightly scars. The can simply remove the scarred area and re-suture with Sante’s special suture technique. They can also camouflage the scar by implanting new donor hairs over the scarred area. There are also a number of cosmetic non-surgical treatments to modify the appearance of a scar such as cortisone injections to flatten a scar, dermal fillers to raise a scar or laser treatments to smooth out a scar.

Hair transplantation has existed for several decades. There are countless old procedures that left patients with unnatural looking hair transplants. Luckily with today’s state-of-the-art procedures, a bad hair transplant can easily be corrected if the patient’s donor hair is still in tact.
Because transplanted hair is permanent, Sante will leave the existing hair in place while blending various sized grafts of new hair around it. When the hair transplant is complete, it will hide the unnatural doll plugs or tufts of hair leaving a soft natural thick result.
